The player explores the Citadel while in search for them and meeting NPCs for iterations and receiving quests. Fallen Flag Studio also has another title set to release in Summer: Röki - an indie adventure title inspired by Scandinavian folklore. Expect Röki to release on July 24. Eldest Souls is a 'Souls-like boss-rush RPG', which the goal is to kill all the Old Gods that locked up in the Citadel. Eldest Souls will launch for PC via Steam and the Nintendo Switch via the Nintendo eShop this coming summer. Only time will tell if developers at Fallen Flag are able to execute. Talent trees and magical shards can also be found by doing other quests and meeting other NPCs inside the Citadel, which then boost the player’s combat skill.Įldest Souls looks and feels like an ambitious and intriguing homage to the Souls series so far. To progress, players must slay the Ancient Gods, which grants players more abilities and powers. ![]() No details have been confirmed yet, but I would assume (and hope) that it is similar to the first Souls title in that it is non-linear. The gameplay for Eldest Souls mainly revolves around exploration and difficult boss fights (which take up the brunt of the game, as stated from its “boss rush” descriptor). ![]() However, if players are lucky or skilled enough, they might just be granted powers beyond “mortal comprehension”. Slaying the Old Gods is no easy feat, and this is only made more difficult by the numerous quests and mysteries that shroud the temple. In this vast labyrinthine temple-prison, the player must journey towards slaying all the bosses to return the human Kingdoms to order. Eldest Souls is a no-brainer if you already enjoy punishing games of this ilk, but the forgiving health system and honed-in challenge may entice newcomers to brave its dangers. While the pixel art is stunning and the boss fights are well designed, the game doesnt actually share many similarities with the souls-like genre. Players assume the role of an unnamed warrior who is plunged into the Citadel: an old institution which used to be the prison of the Ancient Gods. Eldest Souls is a 2D pixel art boss-rush game that prides itself on its difficulty and wears its souls-like influences on its sleeve. Originally announced in March of this year for the Nintendo Switch, Eldest Souls is a pixel styled beat ‘em up title that is inspired largely by the iconic Souls series. The gameplay trailer runs for almost a minute and showcases a number of the bosses that players should expect come launch date, and a couple of skills and moves that the player characters have that they can employ to their advantage. Publisher United Label and developer Fallen Flag Studio have just unveiled a new gameplay trailer for their “challenging pixel art boss rush game” Eldest Souls. ![]() Imec’s flexible ultrasonic transducer technology, originally conceived by Dr. Though there are other big international players in the ultrasound space, such as Phillips and Siemens, the specific expertise and proprietary technology required to make this patch is unique to imec and KU Leuven. Powered by a unique partnershipĭeceptively simple, the Pulsify patch has nonetheless only been made possible through the collaboration between the high-tech powerhouse imec and imaging experts at KU Leuven. The whole system is a perfect example of digitalization of healthcare. These algorithms are optimized to extract the critical physiological parameters, in the most efficient fashion, before presenting the output to the health care professionals in a succinct manner. – Steve Stoffels, Pulsify MedicalĪ calculation of the cardiac output can then be done, with a monitor displaying a simple numerical readout (like with blood pressure or heart rate) for the doctors. The combination of imec’s technology and KU Leuven’s expertise is a world first. We need both the semi-conductor technology from imec and the smart software from KU Leuven. The microphone then picks up the echoes and uses a set of algorithms to build up a 3D picture of the heart in action. The soundwaves generated by the speaker penetrate the chest and reflect back from different tissues, including the heart muscle. The Pulsify patch is simple enough in principle: the basis is an array of ultrasound transducers, each consisting of essentially a speaker and a microphone, contained in a patch roughly the size of a postcard. This disruptive technology will be filling an unmet need in ICUs and hospitals across the world.” “The product we are developing will allow doctors in ICUs to quickly attach a patch to the patient’s chest and continuously monitor their cardiac output. Iwan Van Vijfeijken, CEO of the start-up, explained: This is where the Pulsify Medical patch can make a lifesaving difference. There is clearly a need for a better heart monitoring option. This method therefore is not practical in an emergency setting like the ICU. It involves using a probe, the same way as when examining a fetus during pregnancy, meaning that a well trained professional needs to be present at all times, to position the probe and interpret the results. Traditional ultrasound is a far less invasive alternative but doesn’t allow for continuous monitoring. The product we are developing… will be filling an unmet need in ICUs and hospitals across the world. For continuous monitoring, doctors can either insert a catheter intravenously, a risky and time-consuming procedure, or they can insert a probe via the esophagus, which is less invasive but highly uncomfortable for the patient. This is a measure of the volume of blood being pumped by the heart, usually denoted in liters per minute (L/min).ĭespite the importance of the measurement, current methods for obtaining the cardiac output come with serious drawbacks. Obtaining a fast, accurate readout of physiological parameters can make the difference between life and death in emergency situations.Īlong with basic heart rate and blood pressure, another important indicator of the heart’s performance is its cardiac output. One of the first things the medical staff will do is check the patient’s vital signs, such as their pulse, breathing and blood pressure. When a patient is rushed into the intensive care unit (ICU) of a hospital, every second counts. The investment, led by imec.xpand and KU Leuven, will be used to develop a wearable ultrasound patch to non-invasively monitor organs like the heart. Pulsify Medical, a joint imec and KU Leuven spin-off, has closed a seed funding round of €2.6 million. ![]() Horror feeds on subverting the familiar, and the games capture material culture in Chinese cities in a way no one else has even tried. Once it is decrypted I just use a bunch of free tools to do the other stuff I need to extract streams, re-link OP/ED of episodic discs, split DVD9 -> 2xDVD5, etc. So glad i switched to them, much better deal, imo. AnyDVDHD never has had any issue decrypting any DVD, HDDVD or BluRay I have thrown at it. I've suspected something for quite some time but maybe it's just coincidence.I used to pay for DVDFab, but it improperly decrypted many of my DVDs and HDDVDs (this was 4.x, 5.x builds, i had it thru start of 6.x but HDDVD wasn't supported anymore), and had many issues all around. The real question is whether or not their is an official connection between the author of MakeMKV and DVDFab which would perfectly explain the interesting timing and updates for both of these completely separate products. We all know they've incorporated doom9 work into their software before. Maybe it's just me but I don't think all the Blu-Ray work put into the DVDFab product is the sole work of DVDFab. Lastly, I can't help but notice some correlations between DVDFab and MakeMKV releases with regard to Blu-Ray.Heck, yet again, the most recent licensing change was a copy of Slysoft's licensing options. Between killing off their products and numerous licensing changes that screwed over their customers I really fail to see where DVDFab has any shred of integrity. The difference is that Slysoft has integrity where DVDFab doesn't. DVDFab, it would appear, is attempting to go toe-to-toe with Slysoft on all fronts.DVDFab now has a freeware virtual drive program.Probably as high as all the other software prices. I wonder how insane the price will be once they've used people to get the program to a stable point where they can charge. DVDFab Passkey is free while in beta testing kinda like MakeMKV was. ![]() They literally copied the forum rules word for word minus replacing DVDFab where appropriate. DVDFab Passkey in is a ripoff of the AnyDVD UI just like the official DVDFab forum is a ripoff of the Slysoft forums.Later after people waited and numerous people became very angry and they were effectively muzzled in the forums did DVDFab finally announce that DVD Region+CSS Free was a dead program. DVDFab did promise an update was coming and yet it never did and that constitutes a lie. I wonder if they will show any integrity and give this product to the customers they effectively screwed over and lied to when they simply stopped supporting DVD Region+CSS Free. DVDFab Passkey seems to pick up where DVD Region+CSS Free left off.The following are my thoughts/opinions/speculations and not those of anyone related to Slysoft: If I had to choose DVDfab PASSKEY or DVDFAB 7012 beta I would choose DVDFAB 7012 beta DVDFAB 7012 beta will identify the VTS number of the primary master main movie only. DVDFAB 7012 beta quite a few settings and options to set.ħ. DVDFAB 7012 beta can only rip to the hard drive uncompressed as a DVD-9 if you compress it to a DVD-5 you use up your trial version.Ħ. Output shows up as a audio TS folder and a video TS folderĥ. You would need another software program like DVD Shrink to do this.ģ Passkey only freeware while in the beta version.Ĥ. Passkey rips the entire disk and does not identify what the VTS of the main movie only is. Passkey ICON monkey keeps noding until the on the fly decrypting is complete and then a tiny square shows up.Ģ. Even if the VTS number gets re-numbered to VTS 01 after rebuilding to the movie only.ġ. To see which product is the easiest to use, and which product can identify the VTS number of the main movie only.
